"I just wanted to hear your voice. And talk about jam. And Vermont. And kids."
These phone call scenes are becoming my favorite little Olitz moments. It is amazing when they are in the same room together but it is something special about these phone calls. I love how they just know each other. The understand one another and there is no fear of the silence that is sometimes there.
“I just wanted to hear your voice. And talk about jam. And Vermont. And kids. And, well I just needed…I just needed one minute. But I’m okay now, so…"—Olivia
She just wanted to hear his voice.
He is her piece of mind. When her world is falling to shit, she knows that she has him. When there is no one else there, there is him. He grounds her & keeps her steady.
I love that we are getting to see Olivia be so vulnerable & actually owning her love for Fitz this season. She loves him & even though it is not said in I love you's, it is said in the fact that she is allowing herself to be open with him. She is rushing to the phone(digging it out of the trash). She is making love to him. She is calling him just to hear his voice. She is loving this man the best way that she knows how & it is beautiful thing to see.
Fitz: “I’m taking care of your mother.”
Olivia: “No, you can’t.”
Fitz: “It’s done. I’m taking care of it. What is it you say? Consider it handled.”
Fitz: “I’m not asking you. I’m telling you.”
Olivia: “Thank you…Thank you.”
Fitz: “I love you…Hang up, I have things to do.”
“I’m not asking you. I’m telling you.”
I love a man who can take charge. Fitz knows Olivia. He knows that even if she wasn’t asking for help, she needed it & he was going to do everything within his power to help her. He would move heaven & earth as well as realign the stars if he could for her.
“I love you…Hang up, I have things to do.”
Feels. Feels for days.
